Willowvale police are investigating a case of murder where the 74 year old Kulile Mgqeku who had gone to urinate next his stock kraal on the 19-04-2008 at about 20h00 was shot about five times around the stomach and he run back to his hut where he fell down and died inside the hut. The motive for the murder is still vague at this juncture and no arrests has been made yet but those with information can phone crime stop.

Willowvale Student found murdered and her private parts cut off

Lipou Litsepo Leeuw(18), a female student of H.B. Tsengwa Technical School in Willowvale was last seen alive on the 07-04-2008 during the night when she accompanied her friend who was going to see her boyfriend in town at Willowvale. It is alleged that the freind knocked and entered at the house of the boyfriend and the deceased was left outside the house. The friend mentioned that she was in company of her friend and they went out to look for her thinking that she was relieving herself but in vain. She was reported to the police as the missing person on the 11-04-2008. She was seen by a passerby on the 18-04-2008 at 12h00 near a taxi rank forest on the outskirts of the town. She was identified by the clothes she was wearing on the night in question. According to the police officals at the scene of the murder, the private parts of the deceased had been cut off. It is very strange in this area to have a person killed and her private parts removed. Willowvale police are appealing to community for assistance in tracing the perpetrators of this grusome muder by contactin them at *-Number withheld-*. The deceased originates from Ceru village Butterworth.
Willowvale police have arrested a 40 year old man for raping his daughter since 2003. It is alleged that the suspect and his wife were in separation and the daughter remained with the father who raped her. The victim left her home to stay with her mother but decided to come back home and was raped again on the 16-04-2008 during the night. The 25 year old daughter reported the case and father was arrested and will appear at court on the 21-04-2008. The rape took place at lower Gwadu Village Willowvale.

School Choir Member Rape while from Festival

Two young school choir choristers were from South African School Choral Eistertford (SASCE) at Dutywa on the evening of 18-04-2008. Both Choristers were dropped by the school bus along the N2 road outside Dutywa near collywobbles J.S.S. at about 19h00. A man came behind them and grabbed the 17 year old girl and the second learner run. The suspect threatened the victim and told her to stop crying. He then allegedly raped her to his satisfaction and released her. The girl reported the crime to her mother and the latter took the victim to the police where the case was opened. The suspect is not yet arrested. The police are appealing to the organisers of this festival to make sure that these festivals are finished before the sun set as most choristers are victims of crime when the festivals sustain till late at night.

Girlfriend, arrested for murder of Boyfriend
A 39 year old woman was with her 35 year old boyfriend on the 15-04-2008 at about 19h30 at Khayelatsha Informal Settlement near Ibika Township Butterworth. Both of them are cohabiting. They had a quarrel and according to the woman she took a stick and assaulted the boyfriend as a result he died inside the shack. She only reported the case to Msobomvu Police near Butterworth this morning at about 7h00. When the police visited the scene, they found the deceased was stabbed with a sharp instrument. The girlfriend was arrested and will appear at Butterworth Magistrate court this week.
Dutywa Police are investigating a case of Rape after a mentally chanllenged woman(20) was allegedly raped by a 17 year old boy at Old Dutywa Village on the 14-04-2008 at about 9h00 near a certain forest. It is alleged that the victim was sent to collect fire wood to the forest when she met the suspect who pulled her to the forest and raped her. The suspect was disturbed by a passerby and he ran for his dear life. No arrest yet.
